A great article in the Atlantic laying out the case for how the NCAA, rather than protecting college athletes, perpetuates their exploitation.
I’ve always felt conflicted over my love for college sports, especially football. On the one hand, sport provides hundreds of thousands of athletes with funding, life skills, and in many cases a shot to make it to the highest level of competition - professional or olympic. Sport also encourages a lifetime bond between alumni - no matter how slothful - and their alma mater.

Winning Graciously
I was a fan of Mark Cuban back when he built and flipped broadcast.com. Yes, he’s controversial, but I appreciate a person who makes it, and then spends his money on something he loves and the pursuit of excellence. I wish that every team owner could be as gracious as he is in victory. You can’t watch the video of him carrying that trophy out of the building like it’s a newborn and not feel happy for the guy.
